This is part of our herd in front of one of our three ponds.
This photo is a beautiful shot of Prairie Thunder Ranch
from the little farm house below the ranch. It was taken
in Dec. 2003.

This photo is of Prairie Thunder Ranch from the air. The
outline is the land that is all part of the ranch. All
of the land did not fit into the picture but most of it
did. Our ponds are usually much fuller than in this photo
but were very low due to the drought.
This is Liberty's Fyre PT having a nice roll in the
pasture. He is a 2004 colt that is a full brother to
Legado De Fuego.

This photo is a beautiful shot of some of our Paint
broodmares through the branches of the trees.
Some of our mares and foals enjoying a summer evening.

From Right to left the babies are PT Desperado's Dakota,
Legado De Fuego, and PT Tesoro Pequeno. To see more

This is Pralines NCream or "PC" for short, she is one
of our best Paint broodmares. She loves the water and
decided to take a dip on a warm afternoon, much to the
dismay of her baby, PT Desperado's Dakota.

This is my father, Bob Burns, & his pals taking an afternoon
siesta. The kitty is one of our barn kitties named Ghost
and our ranch dog Jake who sadly passed away at the age
of 11 in Sept. 2004. He is very missed.

Our Holsteiner broodmare Kamille is trying hard to blend
in with her surroundings.

blizzard in Western SD and it shows how I manage to
stay warm in our winters.

Black Hills as seen from our front yard.

This is Freckles in 2004 at about 1 year old.
He is 1/2 border collie, 1/4 corgie & 1/4 blue healer. He is an
incredible dog and a very fun addition to the ranch.

This handsome fellow is Jake, 1/2 lab 1/2 huskie. Jake
has been a fixture at our ranch since it's inception so it is with
great sadness that I report that Jake passed away in Sept. 2004
at the ripe old age of 11. He is very missed. The little boy with
him is my nephew, Cody.
This is Freckles at a few months old playing/warting Jake.
Jake was a very good protector and teacher for little Freckles.
So freckles decided to give him a nice kiss for his troubles. ;-)

This is how very adorable Freckles was as a puppy. The
little girls hugging him are my neices, Ashlyn and Chelsae.
This is the newest addition to our ranch dog collection. ;-)
Sydney is 1/2 lab & 1/2 border collie. We rescued her from a
vet office at 5 months old and it turned out to be perfect
timing as it was only a month after Sydney arrived that Jake
passed away and Freckles would have been very upset and lonely
without Sydney. As you can see, she is quite the water dog.
